Bridge
Bridging in W Chain allows for seamless interoperability between W Chain and other blockchains, making it possible to transfer assets, tokens, and data across different blockchain networks. This feature is particularly useful for developers looking to extend their dApps beyond the W Chain ecosystem and leverage the capabilities of multiple blockchains.
There are 2 type of Bridges in W Chain:
Native WCO Bridge
This Bridge is mainly used to move Native WCO asset from W Chain to other networks, such as Ethereum and BNB Chain network. The origin chain will always W Chain, the child chain is other chain (currently supporting Ethereum and BNB Chain network). When users bridge their WCO asset, it will be locked in Bridge contract on W Chain network, then same amount will be minted as Bridged WCO token on child chain.
Users can do all possible things to do with ERC20/BEP20 assets to their Bridged WCO token in child chain. To move the Bridged WCO token back to W Chain network, users can use same Bridge. The Bridged WCO token will be burned, then same amount will be released on W Chain side.
Multi-Validators Cross Chain Bridge
This Bridge will connect W Chain network to unlimited resources on other EVM Compatible chains. It will whitelist the most essential assets such as Stablecoins, DeFi tokens, other Native assets such as ETH, BNB, S, and even Meme tokens. Allowing seamless transport to and from W Chain network, providing endless potentials for dApp Builders, Protocols and users.
This Bridge is multi-directions, means it can have W Chain as origin, it can also have other chains as origin. The token will be locked on origin network, and same amount will be minted on destination chain. On the opposite direction, the bridged token wil be burned and same amount will be released on origin chain.
Cross Chain Bridge is still in development process, it will be released with Ethereum network as the first pair. In the future, more EVM compatible networks will be integrated.
